Escape route technology online: ASSA ABLOY expands its eLearning platform by adding new modules

Since last year, ASSA ABLOY Sicherheitstechnik GmbH has been providing an eLearning platform which can be used to access individual learning modules on basic and fundamental product knowledge online. This offer of explorative learning regardless of time and place has now been expanded by five specialised modules.

New modules beyond the “Basic Principles of Escape Route Technology” include an in-depth look at the subjects “Networking Escape Routes,” “General Information on Locks and Holding Magnets,” “Escape Door Strikes and Set-up Solutions” and “Terminals and Control Unit.” Individual learning units explain what possibilities there are with escape route technology, as well as what aspects are necessary and essential. They answer specific questions like, “What is needed to control a fail-unlocked locking mechanism?” or “What is the difference between control and door terminals?” Since demand has been pleasingly high all over the world, the “Strike” module is now available in French and Russian.

Available everywhere: The ASSA ABLOY Academy

Regardless of what the learners are focusing on, participants in the ASSA ABLOY Academy will receive an individual login and can expand their basic and detailed knowledge in individual modules. Those who need to refresh their knowledge can repeat individual units – several times, if necessary. Each learner has their own personal desk at the ASSA ABLOY Academy. It has a traffic light system to show which learning contents have been passed and which have yet to be completed and offers continuous confirmation of knowledge level and progress. Another practical feature: the platform links to sign-up forms for presence seminars to intensify the learning experience, if necessary. Anyone interested may simply sign up at
